Join us for our Upstate District Luncheon on Monday, January 31, 2022, from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, in Greenville, SC. Mike Jackson, Clemson professor and Nieri Family Department of Construction Science and Management Department Chair, will give the keynote address sharing information about the Department of Construction Science and Management at Clemson University. He will showcase the work Clemson is doing to prepare the next generation of industry employees, go over what to expect from graduating college students, and explain how colleges like Clemson can work together with employers. Clemson University students majoring in construction science and management will join him for his presentation.
Dr. Jackson is an accomplished researcher, educator and academic administrator with over thirty years of experience. His professional career includes employment in both the public and private sectors, including management and leadership roles. He earned the Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states, including South Carolina. He also actively participates with numerous professional organizations. He joined Clemson University as Chair of the Nieri Family Department of Construction Science and Management (NfCSM) in 2017. As Chair of the NfCSM Department, He has facilitated the growth of the faculty and staff to over twenty (20), serving more than 300 degree seeking undergraduate and graduate students. He has also facilitated significant growth in external funding and departmental resources, including a recent $5 Million naming endowment and over $300k in annual Corporate Partner contributions.
