Webinar IconJune Webinar: Why Litigate When You Can Mediate?
Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.

No one starts a building project intending to go to litigation. Over the past 30 years, the construction industry has come to recognize litigation is a poor solution and mediation is particularly well-suited for a successful resolution to construction disputes. CAGC hosted a free webinar on June 27 that revealed why mediation is preferred in the construction industry; how the legal system is often in conflict with the opportunities and economies in mediation; what a good mediation looks like, and tips on how to organize and prepare for a successful mediation. Our speaker for this webinar was be Steve Hedges, a Carolinas AGC member and former Director, a construction lawyer and a AAA mediator. Steve grew up in construction-related industries and is an honors graduate of the Virginia Tech College of Architecture and the Wake Forest School of Law.
