Continuing our long standing partnership, Carolinas AGC and the Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSH) of the North Carolina Department of Labor renewed its Alliance Agreement between both organizations, which continues a collaborative relationship to foster safety and healthier workplaces within the state. This agreement provides Carolinas AGC members with information and guidance to help them protect employees’ health and safety, particularly in reducing and preventing exposure to recognized occupational hazards. It also promotes and encourages participation in OSH recognition programs, which include the Safety Awards Program, Safety and Health Recognition Program and the Carolina Star Program.
Carolinas AGC CEO Dave Simpson stated “Safety is our top goal in construction. Nothing is more important. Having excellent working OSHA relationships with our two state labor departments in Raleigh and Columbia is extremely important.”
