This year the young leaders will be giving back to two families of
SCDOT employees who lost their lives on the job in July. David Sibbick
and Cecil Morgan were killed when they were struck by a driver while
patching a pothole on US-501 near Myrtle Beach. Please read the stories

David Sibbick
David Sibbick's friends and family describe him as a friend to all with
an infectious smile. If anyone ever needed help, David was always there
to lend a hand, often dropping whatever he was doing. He was a friend
and role model to his 21-year-old Autistic step brother who like all his
family members adored him.
David, 29, was passionate about music. He went to school in Florida to
study recording arts and was pursuing his passion on the music scene.
Cecil Morgan
Cecil Morgan, 35, was a 13 year veteran of the SCDOT. He will be
remembered for his strong work ethic and willingness to step to the
plate to undertake any task. He leaves behind his wife, son, parents,
brother and many friends.
