Join us for our Quarterly Western Luncheon, on May 6, from 11:30am - 12:30pm. Jack Cecil, President and CEO of Biltmore Farms & Clark Duncan, Senior Vice President of Economic Development with Asheville Chamber of Commerce will discuss the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic on the Asheville economy and what they are doing to mitigate the economic fallout for area businesses and their community.
John “Jack” Cecil joined Biltmore Farms in 1984, serving in various capacities until being named President and CEO in 1992. Along with his father, George H.V. Cecil, Biltmore Farms has focused its efforts on community building, through developing an extensive portfolio of real estate projects, including a regional shopping mall, a mixed-use urban village, master planned communities, corporate offices, hotels, apartments, medical office buildings, and over 1,000 homes. Clark Duncan became Senior Vice President of Economic Development of the Ashville Chamber of Commerce in 2018. In this role, he oversees the Chamber’s company retention and recruitment efforts; Venture Asheville, the Chamber’s high-growth entrepreneurship initiative; execution of the AVL 5×5 economic development strategy; and research. During his tenure with the Asheville Chamber, Duncan has been instrumental in numerous economic development projects including securing New Belgium, White Labs and Fox Factories location in Asheville.
