Course Description:
Come learn about OSHA's regulations for performing safe trenching and excavation operations. This is also the same training course and instructor taken by OSHA Compliance Officers in several states since 1989. Co-author of the NC DOL-OSH Industry guide, and expert witness for OSHA and others, Paul P. McCain, P.E. will guide this group through the regulatory provisions and lead attendees through a hands-on soil classification exercise for each of them to demonstrate their understanding of the sequence and results of the required visual and manual tests in 29 CFR Part 1926 - Subpart P.” The course will be delivered over approximately 8 hours.
