Military & Workforce Hiring Resources

Carolinas AGC connects members with powerful workforce platforms and initiatives designed to strengthen construction employment across the Carolinas. Through NC4ME (North Carolina for Military Employment), we help position North Carolina as the nation’s leader in veteran hiring, giving employers access to highly skilled candidates. Employers also have free access to state-supported job platforms like NCWorks Online and SC Works Online, which provide robust tools to post jobs, screen candidates, and connect with top talent at no cost.

Construction Bootcamp

Thanks to a grant from the North Carolina legislature, the CAGC Foundation is proud to offer a free, accelerated training program offering hands‑on learning, mentorship, certifications, and a $750 cash benefit to participants. Hosted at community colleges across North Carolina, The CAGC Construction Bootcamp equips individuals with the skills and support needed to enter and advance in construction careers. Construction Business Academy

Thanks to a grant from the North Carolina Legislature, the CAGC Foundation is proud to offer this free business accelerator designed for minority, disadvantaged, and women‑owned businesses. Participants gain practical skills in leadership, strategy, innovation, and operations—plus one year of coaching and technical support. Lane the Loader™ Initiative

Through the Lane the Loader™  book series, CAGC introduces children to the world of construction with engaging, story-driven books that inspire curiosity and career dreams. The first book, Lane the Loader Lends a Helping Scoop, is now available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle. Members can sponsor books for schools, libraries, classrooms, or hospitals, each with a custom dedication label. Together, we’re inspiring the next generation of builders. Carolinas AGC is proud to be a founding partner of Be Pro Be Proud in both North and South Carolina. These high‑tech mobile workshops showcase skilled trades careers to thousands of students and communities each year through hands‑on simulators and career resources. By helping secure funding and supporting outreach, CAGC is inspiring the next generation to pursue rewarding construction careers. Student Chapters

CAGC supports accredited two‑ and four‑year construction programs with active AGC Student Chapters. These chapters connect students to industry mentors, site visits, and professional development opportunities while encouraging continued engagement through our Young Leader program after graduation. The Carolinas AGC Foundation High School Chapters introduce students to real-world construction careers through hands-on experiences and industry connections.
