WIC Week 2026 LogoWe are proud to celebrate Women in Construction (WIC) Week from March 1 - 7, 2026! This year marks the 28th anniversary of this national week-long celebration, highlighting the incredible contributions of women in the construction industry.

The 2026 theme, “Level Up. Build Strong." highlights the resilience, growth, and excellence of women in the industry, focusing on professional development, community building, and supporting the 45% growth in women in construction roles over the past decade. Through collaboration, we continue to inspire and support the future of women in construction.

We have partnered with local chapters of NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction), Women of Asphalt, and Women of Construction to bring our members four unique opportunities to connect and engage with construction professionals across the Carolinas. Join us at events in Charlotte, Raleigh, Charleston, and Columbia!

How You Can Participate:
  • Attend local WIC Week events in your area. Find details at wicweek.org.
  • Organize your own campaigns, workshops, or outreach efforts to celebrate women in construction.
  • Share your celebrations with us! Email Katie Freseman with details on how you’re recognizing WIC Week. Feel free to include photos and highlights of your events.

Join us in celebrating the contributions of women in construction and the role they play in shaping our industry’s future!

Fact: While the most recent U.S. Census estimates that women comprise 50.5% of the U.S. population, they still make up just 11% of the overall construction workforce. This percentage has increased in recent years, but much of this increase is confined to women in managerial, technical, and administrative roles. In fact, within construction craft professional positions, where the greatest shortages exist, less than 4% are women.

We are excited to partner with local NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) Chapters, Women in Asphalt, and Women of Construction to bring our members four opportunities to celebrate and connect across the Carolinas during Women in Construction Week. We are looking forward to seeing ALL of our members in Charlotte, Raleigh, Charleston and Columbia!
