NCDOT Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) Installer Certification

Course Description:
This one-day course provides the required training and certification for individuals responsible for the setup, installation, and removal of traffic control devices within any highway right-of-way. In accordance with NCDOT standards, at least one certified Work Zone Installer must be present on each crew, serving as the on-site leader to direct the safe and proper installation and removal of temporary traffic control.
Participants will gain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to ensure compliance with NCDOT regulations and to maintain safety and efficiency in all phases of work zone setup and removal.
Certification Prerequisites:
Successful completion of the Flagger Certification course (required for initial certification; not required for renewal).
