CAGC Honors Community Impact Efforts of 28 Companies

CAGC Community Impact Award

Carolinas AGC is excited to announce the winners of the 2026 CAGC Community Impact Awards program. The CAGC Community Impact Awards honor member companies that are making significant contributions to their communities through their time, actions, talents, dedication, and resources. Honorees serve as role models for compassion and service, and they strive to make their community and the communities throughout North Carolina and South Carolina better places to live and work.  

The 28 CAGC Community Impact Award recipients will be honored at the Carolinas AGC Summer Summit to be held in Asheville in July.

Community Impact programs are recognized by:

  • the size and scope of the community program/project and how it may be considered going above and beyond the call of duty;
  • the organization that benefitted from the program/project;
  • the impact of the program/project and how it has made a lasting or meaningful contribution or impact on their community.

Worked with Yancey-Mitchell Pillars and students from Mountain Heritage high school to build small homes for those who lost everything in the storm. Branch also passionately supports the Autism Society of North Carolina.

Supported the youth in the Carolinas through career fairs, jobsite tours, and hands-on demonstrations.

Partnered with different organizations to help children receive presents during the holiday season donated by employees during their Christmas Brunch and Construction Toy Drive.

Aided in the planning and outreach needed for the Melvin “Skip” Alston Golf Classic which addresses homelessness, workforce development, and housing instability.

Spent time planning, scheduling, trade coordination, and inspections for the Front Porch Housing 3-year supportive housing program.

Holt Brothers

Holt Brothers
Through the Holt Brothers Foundation, many volunteered and coordinated sponsors and donors for fundraisers to help children who have a parent with cancer.

Continued the EMC Foundation as IMA Foundation to help 10 high-need organizations with a variety of urgent needs.

Organized a holiday food drive throughout the Carolinas and surrounding states to provide meals for families.

Worked to build 86 wire reefs to support oysters, who filter 18 million gallons of water daily, keeping the ecosystem clean and thriving.

In Charlotte, their work helped the Humane Society to increase care. In Greenville, they assisted individuals on the autism spectrum with Project HOPE Foundation. In Raleigh, they helped more than 700 kids get to hospitals for care with the Children’s Flight of Hope.

Worked on the Playhouse Project with Habitat of Greensboro, to help children picture their futures and encourage their endless imagination.

Sponsored and helped to build the Wilson Miracle Field, which allows those with disabilities to get their daily physical activity a little closer to home.

Through the Sanford Contractors Construction Academy, they were able to give many high school students hands on construction experience.

For every construction project worked on, a service project was completed. This helped many in the community with things like toys for children, mentorships for students, and making homes accessible.

In honor of their 100-year anniversary, every month T.A. Loving Foundation found organizations to support. They helped over 15 organizations including 3 education foundations and 6 cancer-related organizations.

Through their program, GiveMoore, they found different opportunities to keep the employees engaged to support organizations like the Ronald McDonald House, CPCC, Toys for Tots, and the American Heart Association.
