Nearly 2,000 attendees turned up for the AGC of America 2026 Convention – held March 23-26 in Orlando, Florida – with highlights including:

CAGC Awards and Leadership

• Carolinas AGC received a first-place large chapter education award for securing the most AGC EDGE registrations nationwide, a testament to our members’ dedication to education and training.
  
  
• Ty Edmondson, chair of AGCA’s Consulting Constructors’ Council of America, led the CCC annual meeting and made a key presentation at the AGC Education & Research Foundation Gala that raised nearly $200,000. Edmondson is immediate Past Chair of the CAGC BOD as well as current CEO of T.A. Loving Co.
  
  
• Paul Mashburn, CEO of Mashburn Construction Co., Inc., was installed for the coming year as a member of the AGC Board of Directors.
  
  
• Dave Simpson, President & CEO of CAGC, stepped down after serving a two-year term on the AGC BOD. He now serves as Immediate Past Chair of AGC’s Executive Leadership Council.
  
  
• Several dozen CAGC representatives attended the Convention, including CAGC BOD Chair Lynn Hansen, CAGC COO Leslie Clark and Marianne Bush, CAGC Foundation Workforce Development & Program Operations Manager.
  
  
• Updates were given from the AGC of America leadership on its excellent government relations program and other important issues/challenges facing the construction industry.

Dozens of CAGC Members attended the annual convention including Past Board Chair Dean Wilson, Current Board Chair Lynn Hansen, and Immediate Past Board Chair Ty Edmondson.

Attendees were treated to a Legislative, Economic and Regulatory Panel featuring AGC of America's Jeff Shoaf, Ken Simonson, Jimmy Young, Deniz Mustafa and Alex Etchen.
