Mary-Allyson Chauvin

Mary-Allyson Chauvin, Langston Construction

Mary-Allyson is the Director of Human Resources/People Operations at Langston Construction where she has been employed for the last 8 years. Her employers and colleagues describe her as approaching every situation with professionalism, consistency, and respect with an ability to balance business needs with employee well-being that has earned her the trust of leadership and the workforce alike. This is most evident with the implementation of our LifeAdvisor Employee Assistance Program which provides life counseling and other benefits such as assistance in finding resources for child care or elder care. She has elevated HR from a traditional administrative function into a strategic business partnership.

Mary-Allyson’s leadership and active involvement in craftworker development and workforce advancement reflects a clear understanding that strong HR practices in construction must extend beyond administration and into the development, safety, and long term success of the craft workforce.

Evan Sowell, a Principal at Langston wrote “Mary-Allyson serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership while remaining closely connected to the needs of our field and office employees. In an industry defined by workforce challenges, safety considerations and regulatory complexity, she provides steady, informed leadership that strengthens our operations and supports sustainable growth.”

Mary-Allyson has served on the HR Committee since 2022 and was Chair of the committee from 2024 up until this year. She has been attending the HR/Safety conference since 2018.
