New Continuing Education Requirements for License Renewal

NCLBGC ClassThe NC Licensing Board for General Contractors now requires 8 hours of continuing education to be completed annually in order to renew a license. At least one qualifier for licensees in the license classifications of Building, Residential and Unclassified must complete the 8 hours of CE. For the Unclassified license, it must be the qualifier who has passed the building examination. 
The 8-hour course requirement includes a mandatory 2-hour course taught by instructors certified to teach this course. The remaining 6 hours will be elective courses produced by Board approved providers.
