The CAGC Foundation is partnering with FMI – a consultant to the construction industry – in conducting a construction workforce survey that will help guide us in creating entry level construction training programs in NC and SC. In NC, funding is available through 2024 to offer “Construction Bootcamps” through the NC Community College system. These 8-week accelerated training programs will be designed to recruit new workers to the industry and give them basic skills and knowledge that will make them attractive to hire full-time immediately or offer a paid apprenticeship that allows the participant to work while continuing their education. We hope to replicate this effort in SC, as well.
By taking this survey, you will be providing valuable feedback to ensure that the training we offer aligns with what you are looking for in an entry level worker and is responsive to your needs and priorities.
The deadline to complete the survey has been extended to December 23, 2022. All survey responses are anonymous.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to participate in this survey. Your input is very important in helping us know how best to address our construction workforce challenges in the Carolinas.
