Operation Give Back to Spread Joy to Flood Victims

Florence FloodingThis year the young leaders will be giving back to two families that serve in our industry that were affected by Hurricane Florence. Please read the stories below and if you can donate, please do so by sending all donations to the CAGC office located at:

4824 Parkway Plaza Blvd.,
Suite 115,
Charlotte, NC 28217

We will also be accepting donations at https://carolinasagc.givingfuel.com/operation-give-back.

Family 1:

Tyler, an employee of one of our GC members in the Coastal area, and his five year old son had their home completely flooded by hurricane Florence. In addition to the water damage, mold has taken over the entire home. Anything with fabric has been destroyed, beds, couches, blankets, etc. Luckily, they were able to remove their clothing before the flood. At this time they are staying with friends until they figure out how to proceed.

Hurricane Florence FloodingFamily 2:

Mark, an employee of a partnered electric company, and his family’s home was destroyed by hurricane Florence in September. The storm completely ripped apart parts of their roof on their home which caused flooding in their home. The floors and walls are covered in black mold now, which is starting to cause health issues for the family. Mark’s son, who is 12 and autistic, is home schooled. As you can imagine, being homeschooled at this time is very difficult. All furniture and belongings that were in the house have all been destroyed. The family is awaiting help from FEMA.
