Judges noted Hightower's combination of top safety program, top subcontractor references, and top owner references. As a subcontractor put it, Hightower is “always at the top of our list to work for.” A design firm cited Hightower's “doing-it-right” driven attitude versus a more typical “price” driven approach, calling its “commitment to quality second to none.” An owner also noted Hightower's ability to manage owner relationships, with “no nickel and diming.”
