| Performance Verifications
The National Craft Assessment and Certification Program (NCACP) assessments evaluate journey-level knowledge and skills of experienced craftspeople. The NCACP was developed in partnership efforts between Carolinas AGC, The National Center for Construction Education and Research, Industrial Skills Assessment Council, ABC, AGC of America and PSI. The core competencies for all assessments are the standardized Construction and Maintenance Curricula of the NCCER. The assessments may be used for both pre- and post-employment testing. A training prescription will be provided to all craftspeople assessed. Only fully accredited NCCER sponsors may administer the assessments.
NCACP provides contractors with an effective tool to evaluate the skills and productivity of their workforce. It also allows owners to achieve higher quality construction with increased cost effectiveness.
NCCER's National Registry provides the academic path and national portability for young people to develop their future construction career. Portability allows certified students to transfer from state to state with no penalty.
