Program Information

CAGC Foundation LogoThe CAGC Foundation was awarded $3.0 million in the state budget to host minority construction business academies to help minority contractors and subcontractors successfully compete for work in the construction industry. These academies will provide training and coaching to help these businesses and support their efforts to learn and grow.

The Construction Business Academy held its first cohort in January 2023 in Charlotte, NC and has now helped over 100 minority-owned and women-owned small business owners from all over North Carolina. Featuring a cohort class format, in-person and virtual, our numbers continue to grow.
