Carolinas AGC is proud to offer required NCLBGC training opportunities. Register today for our first mandatory course of 2022 and two elective classes to fulfill some of your mandatory annual CE requirement early! 

Continuing Education Requirements for License Renewal

The NC Licensing Board for General Contractors requires 8 hours of continuing education to be completed annually in order to renew a license. At least one qualifier for licensees in the license classifications of Building, Residential and Unclassified must complete the 8 hours of CE. For the Unclassified license, it must be the qualifier who has passed the building examination. 
The 8-hour course requirement includes a mandatory 2-hour course taught by instructors certified to teach this course. The remaining 6 hours will be elective courses produced by Board approved providers.

NCLBGC Elective: Safety Leadership Development

In this workshop organizational leaders will evaluate and understand their own relationship to safety so that they can understand why their employees and workers sometimes choose to take risks at work. In this training, company leaders will be introduced to new skills to assign tasks and lead the workforce in a manner that significantly increases the possibility that the task will be performed without accident or injury. Company leaders will be able to recognize and reinforce safe work practices in ways that will generate safe work habits. Company leaders will be able to correct employee's and worker's unsafe actions and habits at work using constructive techniques. Company leaders will identify a few new actions they can take on a daily basis to improve their own safety and the safety of their employees and workers.
