NC State Rep. Bill Brawley, Senior House Finance Chair, told about 60 Carolinas AGC members at an Oct. 13 luncheon in Raleigh that infrastructure funding for transportation, building and utility needs will continue to be a top priority for state lawmakers.
“Adequate infrastructure funding for highway, building, and water and sewer construction is very important for North Carolina,” said Rep. Brawley (R-Mecklenburg).
Brawley, also Vice Chair of House Appropriations, has worked on numerous bills relating to taxes, property rights, transportation and other infrastructure issues. Rep. Brawley urged CAGC members to spread the word about the importance of voting in the Nov. 8 general election.
Last week’s luncheon marks the launch of new quarterly Piedmont Executive Luncheons for Charlotte area construction executives that are being hosted by CAGC. The luncheon was sponsored by the Carolina Construction School and held at Hilton Charlotte Executive Park. The luncheon is one of more than 60 CAGC events throughout the Carolinas each year, many of which are selling out fast. Our aim is to continue to bring top leaders in the Carolinas to CAGC meetings to help our members be plugged in for their businesses.
