Construction Tech & Innovation Series: Evolving the Construction Industry: People vs Process

When: Friday, May 10, 2024 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Where: Virtual via Zoom
Price: Free for Members & Non-Members

Couse Description:

With the emergence of new technologies changing the way businesses operate, the benefits of adopting advanced technologies are concrete with data and cost savings to back them up. However, implementing new processes and tech are not enough to have a well-rounded organization. The value of employing a diverse labor force is not always obvious by crunching numbers and reviewing timelines, but without making diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) a priority alongside other initiatives, companies will start to fall behind.

This session will empower you to:
  • Identify the parallels and differences that are evident between the evolution of an organization’s tech stack and its’ labor force.
  • Discuss the challenges that contractors are currently facing by making DEI a “nice-to-have” instead of a “need-to-have.”
  • Learn the extra value that companies get when they evaluate a more diverse pool of applicants and what ends up missing from organizations who fail to do so.
  • Understand how top-level executives foster an environment that is more welcoming to a diverse population in order to encourage a larger pool of applicants.
