Instructor Bio:
Dr. Bechtold is an Associate Professor of Business and the Executive Director of the Kim S. Miller Family Enterprise Institute of South Carolina at Anderson University.
Most recently, he was the Executive Director of Continuing Education at Furman University for 19 years. Prior to joining Furman, he was the Assistant Academic Dean for Business and Executive Director of the Management Center of Greenville Technical College, where he served for ten years.Dr. Bechtold received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Furman University. He also earned a Master of Science in Industrial & Organizational Psychology and the Doctor of Education, with an emphasis in Human Resource Development, from Clemson University.Dr. Bechtold has served in membership and board positions for the American Psychological Association, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the Greenville Society for Human Resource Management, the American Society for Training and Development, the United Way, and the University Center of Greenville.Brad is a graduate of Leadership Greenville (Class 29) and the Richard W. Riley Institute's Diversity Leadership Academy (Class 4). He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Sustainability (2015), along with certifications in work profiling and psychological testing in the workplace.
Dr. Bechtold was the recipient of the 2010 “Innovation in Education and Community Service Award” for his efforts to develop sustainability focused business education programs.
