This award is presented to an individual outside the construction industry whose efforts have contributed to the betterment of the overall economic welfare of the Carolinas. Bob Kipp is honored for nursing the fledgling Common Ground Alliance-- a forum where stakeholders can share information and perspectives and work together on all aspects of damage prevention issues-- into one of the most respected underground utility safety and damage prevention organizations in North America. Bob is credited as a role model for working with industry stakeholders and regulators to produce stronger, more effective results through partnership, collaboration, and the pursuit of common goals in damage prevention.
