CHANDLER CONCRETE NAMED BEST CONSTRUCTION SUPPLIER IN THE CAROLINAS

CHARLOTTE –February 2007 – Burlington, NC-based Chandler Concrete Company has received the prestigious Pinnacle Award for “Best Supplier/Service Company” from Carolinas Associated General Contractors (AGC).

Chandler specializes in the production of ready-mixed concrete, with annual volume exceeding one million cubic yards. The family-owned firm has over 550 employees in three states.

Chandler 's customers, when called upon by Pinnacle Award judges, consistently described the firm as “reliable and on-time.” Chandler was also recognized for its commitment to safety, which demonstrates the effectiveness of Chandler 's 25-man safety committee of both management and operator personnel. In the last year the NC Department of Labor recognized 22 Chandler plants for incident rates less than half the statewide average. Quality of Chandler personnel was also cited; references noted that this attribute started at the top and extended to a “quality bench.”

The Best Supplier/Service Company award was presented to Chandler Concrete Company at the Carolinas AGC Annual Convention in St. Thomas , Virgin Islands , January 26, 2007 .
