Are Some NC Regulations Burdensome, Costly or Simply Don't Make Sense?
Do you find yourself questioning some North Carolina regulations? Then don't miss these upcoming public forums hosted by the legislative Joint Regulatory Reform Committee. The committee is soliciting input on rules and regulations in public hearings, then will make recommendations to the General Assembly.
It's imperative that our state leaders hear from the construction industry on regulatory reform - reducing red tape will allow you to focus on your company and employees. It also is important for you to let it be known that providing construction funding is the way to stimulate North Carolina's economy and provide jobs. Every $1 billion invested in design and construction creates or sustains 28,500 jobs at a time when the unemployment rate in the state's design and construction industry is over 20 percent.
Two forums already have been held, one on March 11 in Wilmington and one in Charlotte on March 21, with speakers allotted 2-3 minutes apiece to say what’s on their mind. Upcoming similar meetings will be held in the following areas:
3/28 - Greensboro
4/4 - Greenville
4/18 - Hendersonville
4/21 - Raleigh
