The CAGC Foundation, Inc. mission is to serve the construction industry by financially supporting excellent workforce development and research programs, activities, and services in the Carolinas
OUTCOME I: Construction professionals will have a consistent pool of trained and dependable craftworker, supervisor and management employees in the decades to come.
Strategic Priority I: Education and Training
- Increase the number of qualified training program directors available to the construction industry by 10% per year from 2010 to 2015.
- Support the design, development and implementation of a professional-level training program to increase the number training program directors available to the construction industry.
- Promote craft, supervisory, and management career opportunities in the commercial, industrial, highway, building and utility industries in the Carolinas.
- Support efforts to educate and motivate middle and high school students, as well as members of the general public, to seek a career in construction.
- Provide scholarships or financial support that encourages and enhances career/technical education at community colleges and undergraduate schools with construction related curricula.
- Assist the CAGC with the education and training of construction foremen, supervisors and managers at community colleges including, but not limited to, funding curriculum development and enhancement.
- Support programs to enhance the use of technology in the construction process.
- Support programs that contribute to enhanced safety management on construction sites.
- Support research efforts that will enable the Foundation to accomplish its strategic objectives and meet its mission.
