Function:To study and develop ways and means of promoting accident prevention in the construction industry in the Carolinas. To stimulate interest in accident prevention by encouraging participation in the Associations Safety Program. To evaluate Occupational Safety and Health Act requirements, recommend revisions, and develop programs to inform the membership regarding compliance. To recommend a program of annual safety training courses for members of the construction industry. To develop and maintain liaison with agencies in the safety and health field in both Carolinas. It is envisioned that there will be a mutual exchange of advice and counsel and supportive services between the staff member and the committee.
